About the Peaceful Futures Scholarship

The Peaceful Futures Scholarship has been established to determine and amplify the voices of young leaders who undertake exemplary work to end youth violence and create a peaceful future for their friends and subsequent generations.

Peaceful Futures Scholars will take part in the One Young World Summit 2022 in Tokyo, Japan. During the Summit, they may hear and be heard by friends from 190+ nations in addition to senior political, enterprise, and humanitarian leaders.

Following the Summit Scholars will be a part of the One Young World Ambassador group of 13,000 plus younger leaders in 190+ nations. Between Summits, the One Young World Community participates in an ongoing program of alternatives together with caucuses, funding, peer-to-peer mentoring, media publicity, and speaking engagements.

In addition, students might be invited to play an ongoing function within the Citizens of our Planet’s ongoing efforts to deal with violence as members of the group’s steering committee on the topic. Eligibility Criteria

  • Aged 18 – 30*
  • Nationals of all nations are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

*Most delegates are between the age of 18 and 30. Selection Process

One Young World will consider these applications according to the next criteria:

Evidenced dedication to lowering youth violence in communities around the globe, notably the place it impacts marginalized communities. The related impact might include:

  • Educational interventions.
  • Efforts to deal with root causes corresponding to income inequality.
  • Preventative programs specializing in at-risk youth.

Interventions that construct cohesion between teams in battle.
