Job Description:

QCT’s RF Systems team is searching for candidates to develop and help RF Systems for cellular phone applications (LTE, TD-SCDMA, UMTS, CDM, Wifi) from the idea part to customer sampling. This system is comprised of chipset, SW, and HW, and the evaluation of RF efficiency is analyzed with Matlab, spreadsheets, and different instruments. The successful candidate will:

  • Develop IC specifications and system algorithms working with ASIC designers and System Engineers.
  • Sustaining efforts for ongoing chip designs together with spreadsheet evaluation.
  • Candidates must be comfortable presenting to technical audiences and capable of writing technical reports. Chipset integration of HW/SW/Firmware.
  • Support Applications Engineering team by customer visits for advertising and marketing and training purposes.

Educational Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 -15 years of industry expertise
  • The candidate should have expertise/experience in some of the following areas, Receiver/transmitter spreadsheet evaluation, physical layer modeling, PLL/synthesizer design, GPS receiver design, frequency planning, PA design, mobile handset design, and circuit design.
  • Candidates have to be proficient with Matlab and Excel; information of C is a plus.
  • should have information on Stochastic processes (e.g. AWGN), basic electromagnetics (particularly fading, antenna idea, and propagation), Fourier analysis, and RF theory (S parameters, matching, noise figure, stability, and so on.)
