National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) invites applications purely on a contractual basis for participating Consultants (Research and Evaluation) for an interval of 1 year.

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), is the board of training underneath the Union Government of India. It was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India in 1989 to offer training to all segments of society underneath the motive to extend literacy and aimed ahead for versatile studying.

Essential Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree from acknowledged University with no less than 55% marks or its equal grade in Education/Sociology/Psychology/Measurement/Psychometry/Educational Statistics and good educational data.
  • Knowledge of Computer Application
  • Knowledge of English and Hindi
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
  • M.Phil and or Ph.D
  • Experience in Operational/Statistical Research
  • Experience in organizing Seminars, Workshops, and in-service teaching programs in training
  • At least 02 (Two) research-based papers revealed in Journals (National/International degree with ISSN No.)

Role and Responsibilities
  • Research in main precedence areas of NIOS significantly in Open and Distance Learning/Open Schooling system.
  • Evaluate main actions (educational/examination/assist providers) of NIOS
  • Coordinate and monitor the analysis challenge assigned to inner/exterior researchers and different businesses.
  • Coordinate with Research Advisory Committee (RAC) and monitor all actions undertaken by Research and Development Cell.
  • Compile and put together the analysis experiences undertaken by the Research and Development Cell.
Terms and Conditions
  • The positions are purely on a contractual foundation and might be prolonged on mutual consent. The candidate engaged should execute a settlement with NIOS, renewable on the idea of passable efficiency.
  • The candidate engaged to this place shall not be a part of the common workers within the matter of recruitment to a common post.
  • The candidate engaged shall don’t have any vested proper previous to and after the completion of the contract interval to ask for regularization/absorption in NIOS.
  • During the contract, if required, the contractual workers should proceed to any part of India and can carry out such duties as could also be assigned to him/her about the work of NIOS.
