Applications are invited for Counsellor Saksham Pravaah at TISS Mumbai for the year 2021. The final date of application is 28 June 2021.

Eligibility

A post-graduate in Social Work (Health & Mental Health or Public Health or Community Organization)/ M.A. (Counselling or Clinical Psychology)/ Master in Public Health/ Master in Health Administration. MSW in HR is not going to be considered.

  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of work expertise in health-related counseling. E.g., HIV/AIDS, RCH, TB, STI, ART, suicide prevention.
  • Good communication abilities – written in addition to spoken – in English, Hindi, and native Language.
  • Knowledge of MS Office-Word, Excel, and PPT.
  • Willingness to journey throughout the assigned district.
  • Willingness to work with TB patients and their caregivers.
  • Local candidates can be preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Register Drug Resistant (DR) TB patients for counseling providers and supply common counseling to make sure treatment adherence.
  • Undertake house visits to DR TB patients throughout the district for offering follow up counseling
  • Provide counseling providers to members of the family of the DR TB patients and refer them for TB analysis if required
  • Liaise with District TB workers to observe remedy adherence of TB affected person at the community level
  • Improve TB-HIV linkages and link with ART facilities.
  • Link DR TB patients to social safety schemes and different well-being providers as required
  • Ensure well-timed documentation & reporting as per program want.
  • Maintain registers and data as per Saksham, TISS tips
  • Attend quarterly conferences as specified by Saksham, TISS
