The Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli is organizing an Online Workshop on Recent Trends in Biomedical Instrumentation & Assistive Technology from May 26 to 28, 2021.

NIT-T provides full-time and part-time Ph.D. Program in all branches of Engineering (Chemical, Civil, CSE, Energy and Environment, EEE, ECE, Instrumentation and Control, Mechanical, Metallurgical and Materials, and Production), Architecture, Computer Applications, Management Studies, Science (Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics), and Humanities (English/ Economics).

Course Content
  • Introduction to fundamental physiological programs,
  • Signals and pictures
  • Current developments in medical instrumentation
  • Neuromuscular and neurological circumstances
  • Modeling and simulation
  • Rehabilitation and assistive units,
  • Medical machine rules and requirements
  • Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare.
Resource Person

SPARC international collaborators Prof. Kianoush Nazarpour, University of Edinburgh, and Prof. Laurence Kenney, University of Salford; Prof. S. Ramakrishnan, IIT Madras; Dr. P.A. Karthick together with college members from IITs, NITs, and specialists working within the space of medical instrumentation and assistive units.
