The Centre for Science, Technology & Society, School of Habitat Studies, Mumbai invites applications for one analysis officer and one analysis assistant place for eighteen months to work within the discipline of forest rights and governance.
Research Officer
The analysis officer will intently work with the local people in Kalahandi and Nayagarh Districts of Odisha and can perform impartial analysis and coverage advocacy work on neighborhood forest rights and governance. Broadly, the place requires to (1) analyze the coverage and institutional potential and challenges within the recognition and post recognition of neighborhood forest rights, (2) critically study the livelihood and governance implications of neighborhood forest rights. The place requires intensive discipline work and dialogue with authorities officers, Gram Sabha members, native NGOs, and consultants as per the requirement of the mission.

Salary Per Month: Rs. 30,000

- Masters in social science and regulation
- Knowledge within the discipline of forest rights and governance
- Fluent in studying and talking Odia
Research Assistant
The analysis assistant will doc and analyze discipline stories and databases on the implementation of forest rights in India.
Location: Maharashtra/Odisha
Tenure: Eighteen Months (July 2021-December 2022)
Salary Amount: (July-December 2021: Rs.15,000), (January-December 2022: Rs. 17,000)
Eligibility Criteria for Research Assistant
- Masters in social science and regulation, the choice will likely be given to Mphil and Ph.D. students
- Knowledge within the discipline of forest rights and governance
- Good writing and analytical ability
