INAE Young Innovator & Entrepreneur Award 2021 [Cash Prize up to Rs. 2L]: Apply by 30th June

The INAE young Innovator & Entrepreneur Award is instituted to encourage and acknowledge innovation and entrepreneurship among Young Engineers. The engineering improvements/innovations/ideas which have been really realized and carried out in industry both in new processes or merchandise can be given preference.

Eligibility

Any citizen of India not older than 45 years as on the first of January of the year of Award.

Criteria

Both innovation and entrepreneurship collectively can be thought of necessary and younger innovators from Academia/ Research organization or Industry whose novel engineering/technology concepts have been translated into profitable startup enterprises can be given preference.

Validity

A nomination is valid for one year only. In case the candidate isn’t chosen during the year, there isn’t any provision for nomination to be carried forward for the next year, however, re-nomination is permitted.

Call for Nomination

The nominations can be sought from Fellows/CEOs/Directors/Heads of trade, R&D organizations, Engineering establishments, and Departments. Self-nomination isn’t permitted.

Important date

The final date of receipt of nominations is June 30 every year.

Award

The award would carry a citation and a money prize of Rs 2 lakhs to the chosen individual candidate or to be shared by a bunch of people not exceeding three individuals. Up to 4 awards can be given each year.

Application

Given the unprecedented crisis due to the effect of the Covid-19 Virus, the submission of the Nomination form together with all supporting documents/appendices may be submitted by e-mail as a pdf file to INAE (inaehq[at]inae.in), as a particular provision for this year. In case, the doc isn’t signed by the nominator, an email must be despatched by the nominator authenticating the nomination.

Selection Process

There can be a two-tier choice process whereby the preliminary shortlisting can be executed by the Selection Committee. The shortlisted candidates can be then referred to as for presentation to the Selection Committee. The Selection Committee would advocate the nominee for conferment of the INAE Young Innovator & Entrepreneur Award. In case no nomination is discovered appropriate, no award can be conferred throughout that year.
