About National Awards to Teachers

Eligibility

  • Schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) (apart from these at (a) and (b) above)
  • Schools affiliated to Council for Indian Schools Certificate Examination (CISCE) (Other than these at (a), (b) and (c) above)
  • Normally retired academics are usually not eligible for the award however these academics who’ve served part of the calendar year (at the very least for 4 months i.e. up to thirtieth April within the year to which National Awards relate) could also be thought of if they fulfill all different circumstances.

Important dates
  • 1st June to thirtieth June 2021: Opening of web-portal for inviting online applications and self-nomination by academics
  • 01st July 2021 to fifteenth July 2021: District Selection Committee nominations to be forwarded to the State Selection Committee via an online portal
  • 16 July 2021 to 30 July 2021: State Selection Committee/ Organization Selection Committee shortlist to be forwarded to Independent National Jury
  • 2 August 2021: Intimation to be issued by MoE to all of the shortlisted candidates to make shows earlier than the National Jury (both in bodily mode at NCERT like regular years or via online like in 2020 relying on Covid state of affairs) (most 154 candidates as per extent tips)

Selection Criteria
