About the Award

The Selma Jeanne Cohen Fund for International Scholarship on Dance provides a dance researcher or practitioner the chance to present a major paper or interdisciplinary presentation, based mostly on research or a body of achieved work, at the Fulbright Association’s annual conference.

The research or project should present a transparent dedication to furthering worldwide understanding by dance and should have already been accomplished by the time of application.
  • The narrative should embrace an assessment of the influence of your individual Fulbright or different worldwide exchange experience in your work within the discipline of dance, in addition to how your dance research pertains to worldwide perspectives and the impression it has on different fields, cultures, and the world.
  • A presentation outline for a conference presentation of not than one hour’s size. The presentation plan should include a lecture of not than 20 minutes, a dance demonstration of 15- 20 minutes, and a question and reply session of 15-20 minutes. Please be aware that participating in the audience by interactive displays is highly valued, and demonstrations that contain audience participation can be given higher consideration.
  • Two letters of reference from people well-acquainted along with your work as a dance scholar/practitioner and presenter.
