Submissions are now invited for the INSA-SERB Essay Competition 2021 on the topic Our Lives & the Sciences: During and After the Pandemic.

The Indian National Science Academy (INSA) was established in January 1935 with the item of promoting science in India and harnessing scientific data for the cause of humanity and nationwide welfare. The basis of the Academy, earlier often called the National Institute of Sciences of India (NISI), was the result of joint endeavors of several organizations and people and the International Science Council (ISC) enjoying a leading role in this regard.

Competition Details

Life has been affected in many dimensions by Covid-19. It even modified the main focus of analysis & working within the laboratories, particularly the place fixed monitoring and interactions have been required. With vaccination, hopes for restoration are hovering but the challenges still remain.

The emphasis within the essay needs to be not only on a realistic assessment of the situation and a discussion of the problem such as the one posed by the rising new variants. Some constructive options for the issues faced in society and laboratories. The adjustments in lifestyle, relations, values, work culture, that are perceived after the pandemic, might also be highlighted. The language, model, clarity, and so forth. will
even be given weight within the evaluation. The word limit is 1500 to 3000 words.

Groups
  • Graduates and PG in science
  • Graduates/ PG in management, medical science, and engineering
  • People with doctoral (Ph.D.) or greater levels
  • The open category is open to all, aside from the above three classes.
