Applications are invited for JRF (Electrical Engineering) Under RAE Funded Project at IIT Ropar for the year 2021. The final date of application is 3 July 2021.

Applications are invited for a junior research fellow (JRF) position within the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Ropar below the project titled “Impact on emission reduction through replacement of coal by Renewable Energy Source, Paddy straw, for industrial applications”. The overall goal of the project is to design sensor chips for monitoring air pollutants, equivalent to CO2, CO, SO2, laser dust, VOC, and so on, for industrial boilers.

Eligibility

Essential {qualifications}: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Eng./ VLSI/ Electronics Eng./ Electronics and Instrument Eng/Equivalent branches. or a Bachelor degree in Electronics and Communication Eng./ Electronics Eng./ Electronics and Instrument Eng. with a GATE or CSIR UGC NET certified score. Candidates should have obtained no less than 60% marks (or 6.5 CGPA) (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST) of their Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.

Desired {qualifications}: Experience in PCB design, gas sensor characterization, and VLSI fabrication technology will likely be an added benefit. 

Duration

Initially, the position is for the interval of six months. However, it may be prolonged as much as one year based on performance.

Salary

A consolidated salary of Rs. 31000 / month will be offered as per the institute norms.
