The study is associated with the determination of porosity, permeability, contact angle, and numerous fluid properties such as viscosity, surface tension, IFT, rheology, and so on. Knowledge of pressure waves, high-pressure tools safety, pulsed plasma, the strength of the material.

Emoluments
- Rs 31,000/- monthly (Consolidated).
- After profitable completion of 2 years, a candidate may be promoted to SRF (Senior Research Fellow) primarily based on the performance and recommendation by the committee.
- No HRA can be given.
- The hostel will be supplied as per the relevant charges/norms of the Institute.
Essential Qualifications
- ME/M.Tech/MS/B.Tech/BE in Petroleum/Chemical Engineering or MSc in Applied Geology/ Geophysics/Chemistry with a constant first-class report.
- Minimum 60% or first class (55% for SC/ST) within the qualifying examination in Engineering /Science/ and/or equal.
- A sound GATE/ NET qualification.

28 years as on last date (Relaxation will be given for reserved category as per norms).
