About the Course
Governments worldwide are working on creating comprehensive National AI strategies to create sustainable, inclusive, and optimistic impacts on their citizens, industries, and total societies. A talented and competent workforce is the foundation for the progress of any nation and industry within the AI world. An AI-driven economy requires a brand new strategy to a nation’s education system together with ways to empower larger non-technical audiences with AI social and technical expertise for real world applications.
India’s own National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence is built on the philosophy of ‘AI For All’. The strategy is to leverage exponential technologies towards inclusive growth, develop population-scale AI solutions for societal needs and leverage India’s unique position to be a worldwide leader for inclusive technologies. Further acknowledging the significance of AI, the National Education Policy – 2020 has additionally emphasized preparing students for an AI-driven economy by offering entry to related skillsets and toolsets to make them prepared for the future.
In sync with the bigger aim of enabling and empowering the following technology with AI expertise, CBSE introduced AI as a subject in 2019 from class VIII and has since then extended it from class VI-XII. The intention is to demystify AI for students, equip them with the skill sets and the mind-set required for AI readiness and allow them to create significant social influence options as evidence of achievement.
To additional add to the reason for national AI readiness, a new program – AI For All was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, on July 29th, 2021. This program is pushed by the Central Board of Secondary Education in collaboration with Intel India and has goals to extend public consciousness about AI.
Program details
‘AI For All’ is a 4-hour, self-paced, micro studying program aimed to assist demystify AI for the general public. The program is divided into two sections: AI Aware, and AI Appreciate. Both sections might be accomplished in about 4 hours. Each part consists of images and interactive activities with a short and easy quiz. Passing this quiz grants the participant a digital badge and a certificates that they will share on their social media accounts and tag #AIForAll. Participants can take this quiz as many times as they want.
