Project BookPecker goals to increase the frontiers of literacy throughout socio-economic divisions and rethink pedagogy. Project BookPecker fellows are brilliant, astute individuals with a sure inclination in the direction of the field of curriculum improvement, teaching, and academic administration.

From a veritable diversity {of professional} backgrounds and walks of life, our fellows channelize their collective energies to ideate approaches to subject areas, improve present instructional strategies, create bite-sized audiovisual modules, conduct periods for students, and contribute in the direction of the digitalization of education.

How does it work?

Project BookPecker works on creating a curriculum on both avant-garde subjects conceptualized by the BookPecker team and traditional academic subjects present in curriculum standards and boards worldwide. These topics include:

  • Computer Literacy

Eligibility

  • Pursuing/accomplishing an undergraduate or graduate degree in any discipline 
  • Be above 18 years old at the time of application
  • Be obtainable for a part-time, remote opportunity
  • Be obtainable to commit a minimum of 12-16 voluntary hours per week
  • People from all countries are inspired to apply

Skills Required

  • Drafting, editing, and proofreading content
  • A suitable command of word processing tools (MS Word, Google Docs, and so on.) and spreadsheet software (MS Excel, Google Sheets, and so on.)
  • Comprehend, educate, and ideate about different subject areas
  • Basic understanding of illustration and designing techniques and tools
  • Proficiency in English

Responsibilities

  • Create audiovisual and textual teaching materials and tutorial modules
  • Conduct periods on numerous topic areas
  • Ideate on novel tutorial actions, workout routines, and analysis strategies
  • Coordinate with Curriculum Development coordinators and different fellows to create curriculum content
  • Ascertain consistency in content structure, linguistic elements, and design language for the content you create
  • Devise and analyze relevant instructional strategies and technologies
  • Participate in sessions with guest trainers and instructors
  • Organize advocacy activities and occasions for BookPecker beneficiaries and the general audience alike
  • Advocate for educational fairness and initiatives aiming for it, including Project BookPecker

6 Months (12-16 voluntary hours per week)

  • The training periods can be offered to the selected candidates.

Note: The Training session will be conducted by Teachers and Academicians with years of experience within the education sector. Workshops on Child psychology, Teaching strategies, subject-specific discussions, and so on. will be held throughout the fellowship and certificates will be given for the same.
