Do you have got an awesome idea to resolve a social or environmental problem? Are you able to take action, however, don’t know where to start? You’re not alone.

The 2021 Social Shifters Global Innovation Challenge will take you from thought to entrepreneur – serving to convey your thought to life AND sharpening your social business skills!

The Social Shifters Global Innovation Challenge is all about supporting younger individuals (18-30) to take entrepreneurial action on social and environmental points that matter to you.

• Everyone who enters receives a bundle of FREE startup support and mentoring to develop their concept.
• The first 500 candidates will receive a VIP ticket to the Social Enterprise World Forum 2021.
• The best idea solutions will compete for cash prizes and funding pots of up to $10,000!
• Finalists will receive international recognition and publicity on the Social Enterprise World Forum 27-29 Sept 2021.

Eligibility

• The Challenge is open to anybody 18-30 years old.
• You can enter by yourself or as a team (up to 5 members). Team participation is strongly inspired.
• They are in search of an enterprise solution to an environmental or social issue. However, this is usually a non-profit or for-profit thought at an early stage (lower than one year outdated with no important funding in place).

Awards

• A collection of $10,000 cash prizes are on offer for the best concepts PLUS a bundle of mentoring and different help.
• There are prizes for runners up too, and all shortlisted ideas get alternatives for international recognition and media publicity.
• Watch out for special categories and country prizes that might be introduced quickly.

Judging Criteria

All entries might be evaluated based mostly on the following:

• Impactful: Will the business idea resolve a vital social or environmental problem?
• Innovative: Is the thought insightful, and potentially a breakthrough resolution to the issue?
• Feasible: Could the thought be carried out with monetary and mentoring help?
• Scalable: Does this concept have the potential to be expanded on a bigger scale?

Submissions that include a short video pitch (lower than 60 seconds) will receive additional factors within the evaluation.
