Ad-hoc Faculty Recruitment at NIT Calicut: Apply by 1st July

Applications are invited for Ad-hoc Faculty Recruitment at NIT Calicut for the year 2021. The final date of application is 1 July 2021.

Applications are invited for the post of Ad-hoc Faculty within the Department/School of Architecture and Planning, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Biotechnology, Management Studies (English, Economics, French, and Management), and Material Science and Engineering temporarily with a consolidated remuneration (Rs. 50,000 monthly for Ph.D. / Rs. 40,000 monthly for M.Tech./M.Arch./ M.Plan).

The remuneration is not going to be enhanced for any reason in the course of the term of engagement. The appointment can be for an interval of 1 semester, starting in July/ August 2021. The Last Date for Submission of Application (within the specified format) via E-mail to the concerned Head of the Department/School is 01-07-2021, Thursday.

Eligibility

• Architecture and Planning (12 Posts): Ph.D./M. Arch./M. Tech./Master of Town Planning after a full-time B. Arch degree with first Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA). Ph.D./M. Tech./M. Plan after a full-time B. Tech in Civil Engg. degree with First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA).
• Civil Engineering (5 Posts): Ph.D. / M. Tech. in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geomatics, Building Technology & development Management, Offshore structures). First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA). Ph.D./MSc. in Geology. First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA).
• Chemical Engineering (1 Post): Ph.D. / M. Tech. Chemical Engineering and B. Tech. Chemical Engineering. First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA).
• Computer Science & Engineering (11 Posts): Ph.D. / M. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering or equal after a professional Bachelors Degree of 4 or more years length within the related department of Engineering. First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA).
• Electrical Engineering (9 Posts): Ph.D. / M. Tech. (Power Systems/ Power Electronics/Instrumentation & Control/ Industrial energy & Automation/HV Eng. or every other equal/related specialization within the area of Electrical Engineering). First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA).
• Electronics & Communication Engineering (1 Post): Ph.D. / M. Tech. (Telecommunication, Signal Processing, Electronics Design Technology, Embedded Systems, Microelectronic & VLSI or any other equivalent/related specialization within the area of Electronics & Communication Engineering). First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA).
• Mechanical Engineering (10 Posts): Ph.D. / M. Tech. (Manufacturing, Thermal, Design, Industrial Engineering & Management). First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or6.5/10 CGPA).
• Mathematics (9 Posts): Ph.D. in Mathematics/Statistics. First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA)*. Those who’ve submitted Ph. D thesis may also apply.
• Physics (1 Post): M.Sc. in Electronics with Ph.D. or M.Tech. in Electronics. First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA)
• Biotechnology (1 Post): Ph. D & M. Tech/M. Sc Biotechnology.First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA).
• Management (7 Posts): English- Ph.D. in English or Equivalent. First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA). Those who’ve submitted Ph. D. thesis can also apply. 02 (Economics) Ph.D. in Economics or Equivalent. First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA). Those who’ve submitted Ph. D. Thesis can even apply. (Management)- Ph.D. in Management or Equivalent (Human Resources or Marketing). First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA). Those who’ve submitted Ph. D thesis can even apply. 01 (Management) Ph.D/M. Tech in Computer Science and Engg. or equal. First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA). (Management)- Ph.D/M. Tech in Industrial Engg. or equal. First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA). (French)- C2 DALF (diplomeapprofondi de langue Francaise) with post-graduation in any stream/ a post-graduate (MA) in French, ideally with two years of expertise. First Class each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA).
• Material Science & Engineering (2 Posts): Ph. D. in Material Science with B. Tech. in Mechanical/Metallurgy /Materials Science with M.Tech./ M.S. in Metallurgy/ Materials Science. First Class is required each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA)*. Ph.D. in Nanotechnology/Material Science with SEM/AFM hands-on experience. FirstClass is required each at UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA.

• 16-07-2021, Friday; 8.00 A.M., (Respective Head of the Department/School can be coordinating the interview.): Architecture & Planning, Computer Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, School of Management Studies and School of Material Science and Engineering.

Salary

Ph.D.: Rs. 50,000/- & M. Arch. / M. Tech. /M. Plan./MBA: Rs. 40,000/-.
