Dean of Students’ Welfare at University of Kalyani: Apply by 12th July

Applications are invited for the post of Dean of Students’ Welfare at the University of Kalyani.

The University of Kalyani, established in 1960, is a state-government administered, affiliating, and research university in Kalyani, West Bengal, India. It offers courses on the undergraduate and post-graduate levels.

Essential Qualification

• Uniformly good educational report with a Master’s Degree with minimal 55% marks or its equal grade within the level scale wherever a grading system is adopted.
• At least 15 years of expertise as Sr. Lecturer/ Reader/ Assistant Professor within the AGP of Rs.7,000/- (Pre-revised) and above or with 8 years of service within the AGP of Rs.8,000/- (Pre-revised) and above together with as Associate Professor together with expertise in instructional administration in Academic Institutions like University, or in an Institute of Higher Learning of which 5 (5) years have to be in a University or in an Institute of Post Graduate Study. OR Comparable expertise in research institutions and different Institutions of Higher Learning. OR 15 (Fifteen) years’ administrative expertise, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or equal post.
• Age not lower than 40 years. Relaxable within the case of an exceptionally certified candidate.

Desirable Qualification

Expertise in Behavioral Science will get preference.

Pay Band

(Pre-revised Pay Band-Rs.37,400/- — Rs.67,000/- with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10,000) Revise pay Matrix Level-14.

Application Fee

Applicants should deposit Rs.1000 for the post of Dean of Students’ Welfare. SC/ST candidates are to pay one-fourth of the application fees, for which they should attach copies of related certificates from the suitable authority at the time of submission of application forms.

Additional Instructions

• Above mentioned minimal {qualifications} are subject to modification by the UGC/State Government once in a while.
• The rest of 5% within the marks could also be provided at the Master’s Degree level for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/Differently-abled (Physically in addition to visually) classes for the aim of eligibility and for assessing good academic report throughout direct recruitment to the post. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equal grade in some extent scale wherever grading system is adopted) and relaxation of 5% to the classes mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace marks and/or rounding off procedures. The rest of 5% within the marks could also be supplied (i.e. from 55% to 50%) to the Ph.D. diploma holders, who’ve obtained their Master’s Degree previous to 19 September 1991.
• The appointment will probably be made on probation for one year, which can be waived or prolonged and will probably be guided by the rules as framed and/or amended by the University from time to time.
• Candidates should clearly notice that the University will in no case be answerable for non-receipt of application forms by the University and/or non-receipt of interview letter by the candidate, for postal delay, or some other motive in any respect. Application acquired after the prescribed final date won’t be entertained below any circumstances and all such applications shall be summarily rejected. Incomplete applications will also be rejected.

• Candidates are required to ship their filled up application form, together with the bank receipt copy (Second Copy) and copies of testimonials/certificates duly self-attested to “The Registrar, University of Kalyani, P.O. Kalyani, Dist. Nadia, West Bengal, India, Pin-741235” only via Speed Post.
• No applications will probably be entertained by hand delivery. The last date of receiving of application is 12.07.2021. Incomplete applications shall be rejected.
